Product Update: September 20, 2022

Product Update

1. Improved mobile app performance and usability.
2. Messages displaying the sender’s name (user name) can now be sent from mobile app chats.
3. Added user and account settings for “Display Sender Name”.

Why does it matter?
1. There were issues with the startup time and operability of the mobile app.
2. The “Display sender name” feature in chat was unavailable in the mobile app.
3. Customers have different preferences in operating the “Display Sender Name” feature.

How does it work?

1. The build method for mobile apps has been revamped, reducing app file size by 80%. We have also reduced startup time and improved processing speed.

The interface has been updated with a color scheme based on the brand colors. The contrast of text colors has been strengthened to make it easier to use on the go.

2. Select “Settings” from the mobile app menu (By tapping the menu button in the upper left corner of the home screen). Check the “Show Sender Name” checkbox to display the sender’s name in chat messages.

3. Added “Display sender name” to user settings. By checking this box, “Show sender’s name” in 1:1 chat will be checked by default. (Settings are synchronized with the mobile app.)

We have added, “Do not display sender’s name in 1:1 chat” to the account settings. Please use this option if you do not want to use the “Display sender name” feature.
